Saunas Open on Sunday in Porto

Last updated: February 20, 2026

By Porto Saunas Editorial Team

Sunday is the day you most want a sauna — and the day some Porto venues close early or don't open at all. If you've ever walked across Principe Real on a Sunday afternoon only to find locked doors, you know the frustration. This guide exists so that doesn't happen to you.

Here's every sauna in Porto and whether it's open on Sunday, with exact hours.

Open All Day Sunday

These venues operate on Sunday with the same (or nearly the same) hours as the rest of the week. No surprises, no shortened schedules.

The Hot Cold Club — €28

Open 08:30–17:30 on Sundays, same as every other day. The Hot Cold Club runs two 88 degree Finnish saunas and four ice baths in Principe Real. The early opening makes it one of the best options for a Sunday morning contrast therapy session — arrive at 08:30, do three rounds of hot and cold, and be at brunch by 11:00.

The Oriental Spa — €75

Open 12:00–21:00 on Sundays. The Oriental Spa opens later than most, but stays open until 21:00 — making it one of the few venues where you can get a Sunday evening hammam session. Book your couples ritual or solo treatment in advance, as weekend slots fill up fast.

Sayanna Wellness & Spa — €50

Open 07:30–21:00 on Sundays. Sayanna has some of the longest Sunday hours of any spa in Porto. The early 07:30 opening is rare for a weekend — if you want a quiet, uncrowded spa circuit before the city wakes up, this is your best bet.

BSpa by Karin Herzog — €50

Open 10:00–20:00 on Sundays. BSpa in Belem keeps standard hours all week. Combine a Sunday visit with the Belem waterfront — the monastery, the MAAT museum, and the famous custard tarts are all within walking distance.

The ReTreat Spa — €35

Open 10:00–20:00 on Sundays. The ReTreat near Avenida da Liberdade is a solid mid-range option with a Turkish bath, jacuzzi, and organic treatments. Consistent Sunday hours make it reliable for weekend planning.

BluSpa Jupiter Porto — €25

Open 10:00–20:00 on Sundays. BluSpa near Saldanha offers a full water circuit — Finnish sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, heated pool, and relaxation rooms — for €25. One of the best value Sunday options in the city.

Real Spa at Grande Real Villa Italia — €30

Open 09:00–19:00 on Sundays. Real Spa in Cascais runs the same hours every day of the week. The 30-minute train ride from Cais do Sodre is a pleasant Sunday outing in itself, and Cascais on a Sunday is lively with markets and waterfront strolls.

Mandalay Spa Liberdade — €60

Open 10:00–20:00 on Sundays. Mandalay on Avenida da Liberdade keeps consistent daily hours. Both Finnish sauna and Turkish bath are available, plus robes and slippers included.

The Vintage Porto Spa — €35

Open 07:00–20:00 on Sundays. The Vintage has the earliest Sunday opening of any spa in Porto — 07:00. If you're an early riser who wants a sauna and steam before the city stirs, this is your venue.

Vidnova — €15

Open 10:00–20:00 on Sundays. Vidnova is the cheapest sauna in Porto at €15, and it keeps the same hours every day. A simple Finnish sauna near Avenida da Liberdade — no frills, no closures, no excuses.

Spa at Iberostar Porto — €40

Open 10:00–19:00 on Sundays. Iberostar lists daily hours including weekends. The full package — spa circuit, 30-minute massage, and three-course dinner — is available on Sundays too, making it an excellent option for a complete Sunday afternoon and evening.

Open Sunday with Reduced Hours

These venues are open on Sundays, but with a different schedule than weekdays. Check the hours carefully.

Healthy Horizon — €40

Open 10:00–20:00 on Saturdays and Sundays (weekdays 09:00–21:00). Healthy Horizon opens an hour later and closes an hour earlier on weekends. Still a full 10-hour window, so you have plenty of flexibility — but don't plan on a 09:00 Sunday start like you could on a Tuesday.

The Reformer Lab — €30

Open 08:30–19:00 on Saturdays and Sundays (weekdays 07:15–21:00). The Reformer Lab cuts two hours from its weekday schedule on weekends. The infrared sauna closes at 19:00 rather than 21:00, so plan your visit for earlier in the day.

Core Collective — €25

Open 09:30–12:30 on Saturdays and Sundays (weekdays 07:30–19:30). This is the one to watch out for. Core Collective runs a dramatically shortened weekend schedule — just three hours in the morning. If you want a Sunday infrared sauna and cryotherapy session here, you need to arrive by 09:30 and be done by 12:30. No exceptions.

El Spa at Melia Porto — €25

Open 08:00–22:00 on Saturdays and Sundays (weekdays 07:00–22:00). El Spa near the airport only loses one hour in the morning on weekends — still open until 22:00, which is later than every other spa in Porto on a Sunday. The best option if you need a late Sunday session.

Closed on Sunday

CitySpa — €60

Closed on Sundays. CitySpa in Belem operates Monday to Saturday only (10:00–19:00). If Belem is your Sunday plan, head to BSpa instead — it's in the same neighborhood and open until 20:00.

Tips for Sunday Visits

Book ahead for weekends. Sunday is the most popular day for spa visits in Porto, and hotel spas in particular limit day-visitor spots. Call or book online at least a few days ahead, especially for The Oriental Spa and Iberostar.

Arrive early for the quietest experience. The first hour after opening is always the calmest. At The Vintage (07:00), Sayanna (07:30), and The Hot Cold Club (08:30), you can have a near-private session if you show up at opening.

Have a backup plan. If your first choice is full, BluSpa and Vidnova rarely turn people away — both have consistent availability and are open until 20:00 on Sundays.

Watch Core Collective's hours. The 09:30–12:30 Sunday window catches people off guard. If you want infrared and cryo on a Sunday, get there early.
